Use the Helldivers 2 map for current operations, Major Orders, faction fronts, and mission planning without trusting stale screenshots.

Where should players check the live Galactic War map?

The in-game Galactic War map is the source of truth for current planet control, active Major Orders, and available operations. Community maps and screenshots are useful context, but they can become stale before a squad finishes a mission.

This wiki deliberately does not display a fake “live” percentage. When a verified public data source is integrated, its source and refresh time should be shown beside every value.

Map-to-loadout check

Use the live in-game map to make one timely deployment decision instead of trusting a stale tracker screenshot.

  1. Live order

    What needs attention now?

Read the active Major Order and available operation before choosing a planet.

  2. Front and modifiers

    What will the squad face?

Use the faction, terrain, and operation modifiers to decide the role requirements.

  3. Squad plan

    Which gaps need covering?

Assign horde control, anti-armor, and an extraction plan before the drop.

What should you read before picking a mission?

CheckWhy it matters
Active Major OrderIt tells you which campaign goal currently has priority.
Faction and planetIt determines the enemies, terrain, and loadout needs.
Operation modifiersThey can change which Stratagems and roles are sensible.
Squad availabilityA four-player plan can cover more roles than a solo or duo drop.
Extraction planA mission is not complete until the squad can leave with its samples.

How should the map affect a loadout?

Choose the front first, then fill missing roles. Terminids reward mobility and horde clearing; Automatons reward cover and weak-point precision; Illuminate missions need shield pressure and crowd control. On the Void front, add a plan for Wretches, Crushers, and objective defense.

Use Enemy Factions for the three-front comparison and Best Weapons for a role-based equipment check.

Why is there no player-count or tracker number here?

Live player count and war progress require a source that is reliable, legally usable, and updated with a visible timestamp. Until that is in place, the honest tool is a map-reading guide rather than a static number presented as live data.
